Twelve tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Style Week 11.

Over on Linda's blog the Funkie Junkie we  are up to week 11 of her fabulous challenge sponsored by her shop The Funkie Junkie Boutique. There is always such a lot to be inspired by in her fabulous tags and this week is no exception. Click on the link above to see her wonderful tag which has got me going in a different colour mix to her. I have used the on the edge snowflake die and the trees and the deer as a basis for mine.

First I took some card stock and gently distressed it and then found two incidental pine tree stamps which I layered with coffee archival ink using some of the impressions as second stamping so that they faded into the background. I die cut the young reindeer out of burlap which was stuck onto mountboard. Then I edged the right hand side with DG in Mustard Seed and then die cut the on the edge snowflake die out of some brown packing card and brushed Gathered Twigs DI around the edge. A strip of brown music paper over that and two rusty snowflakes one on the deer and one at the top. A frayed tartan strip and a metal snowflake at the top and that is my try this week.
I have brought the little easel die which is really useful and so my tags are turning into cards. Another one done, such fun.
I was thinking how sad it was that there was only one more tag to go but Linda has decided to extend the challenge with an extra two which is fabulous do hop over to her blog to read all about it. See you soon, Seasonal Hugs to all! x

  7. This is definitely one of my favorite tag designs of yours thus far. The rich textures truly stand out in your neutral color scheme. May your Christmas be filled with love, joy and peace, my friend!
