This is a most beautiful tag and my favourite of Tim's thus far this year! It has also taught me a valuable lesson which I shall share with you! I have always struggled fiddling with those little roses from the pine cone die, in fact I have always struggled with the pine cone! I would watch the video and would hot foot up to the craft room and then do my best to emulate the Master. This time I took my lap top up to the craft room and followed him step by step which is what I should have done in the first place! I was not creasing down the little petal parts and as Tim says that really helps to form the shape. Smacked wrists Barbara, pay attention and do as the expert says!
So here it is, as faithful a copy as I can manage and I am now on a roll with the little roses. You can find Tim's stunning original here - thanks Tim, I love this one! x
You've definitely mastered the TH tattered rose technique. I also love the muted color scheme that you chose for your version of the tag. I don't have the lattice looking die and can't afford to buy it with 2 girls in college next year. Therefore, I'll need to improvise, but I always do my own twists anyway. Blessings, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous take on Tim's tag, which I also thought was beautiful this month. I'm looking forward to trying but will have to wait until next week for me; I don't have the lattice die so am thinking how to improvise at the moment. I love the colours you've used and your roses are beautiful. I'm lucky as my computer and small TV are in the craft room...I really need to watch those 'how to' videos as I try new techniques! hugs Carole Z X
