Sunday Stamper: Come Fly With Me.

Hi everyone, here we are a week into the New Year already can you believe! I'm trying to get back into the groove and so here is my contribution for Hel's Sunday Stamper challenge.

Sorry about the photo the light had gone by the time I finished work. I took a tag and covered it with Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord distress ink. Then I die cut some trim from a piece of paper from my stash to tone. I used the big stamp from Tim's Papillon set for the background in Archival black. The big butterfly is Tim's fanciful flight, which I struggle with as I'm never sure how to use it and make it look right on a tag. I used the under layer of silver glitter paper and the top with purple Brazil card. The body I added crystals to and then punched three layers of one butterfly with a Martha Stewart punch and fussy cut a butterfly I found under some of my heaps! The silver metal bird was from the jewellery section at our Hobby craft store and the sentiment is by Crescendoh stamps. the chiffon tie at the top is edged with two crystal pieces.

Here is a close up which shows the colour a bit better.
I have just heard that winter is on its way! Snow even for some of us. Have to get out the thermals and ice grippers. The older I get the more I fear falling down, anyone else like that? All of you keep warm and safe and have a lovely time. I hope Hels enjoys CHA! What am I like - course she will. See you all soon. x

  1. Wow, gorgeous... love all the sparkle! And the colours are luscious... Yes, I heard the temperatures are due to drop - but then it's been so ridiculously mild so far, that we've been lucky really, despite the grim gray drizzle!

  7. Can you hear the cheering? You should as it's loud and enthusiastic for this Barb. Sparkly butterflies, delicious colours and lots of bling - what more could a girl want?! Oh, just seen your 'Tangled' card too - my goodness, another triumph. Santa must have brought you a whole heap of mojo methinks! Hugs, Jenny x

  8. Hi Barb I love the delicate and delicious colours you have used on your lovely tag. I too struggle with that butterfly die. It never seems right to me nor worth the effort of cutting the wretched thing :(
Thank you so much for the concern re my brother. He was in the thick of it but not directly in the line of fire. Most definitely no phone coverage and smoke signals were out of the question. The weather has eased but the heartbreak for so many continues. Many thousands of livestock are dead or being put down and the toll on the wildlife is awful. The work continues for thousands of volunteers, including a large group from our area and appeals have begun. Such horror from Our Wide Brown Land.
Personally, I cannot create just at the minute!
